Rachele Simmons-Taling is an Interior Architect originally from High Point, North Carolina, specializing in Kitchen & Bath architectural design and engineering. Throughout her tenure in the industry, Rachele has worked as designer and head engineer at the Rutt of Chicago flagship showroom located in the Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago. During this time, Rachele and Deborah J. Smith, owner, created the demonstration kitchen for the late chef Charlie Trotter’s PBS cooking show in Lincoln Park. After 6 years, Rachele began her work with Christopher Peacock creating bespoke English kitchens. In 2002, she moved to Denver, Colorado and began working with the renowned German line, SieMatic. It was in Denver where Rachele met her future husband, builder Paul Taling, of Taupo, New Zealand. After their marriage in 2004, they moved to southern California where Rachele began her employment with Poliform Los Angeles in West Hollywood. After 3 years, Rachele and Paul moved to New Zealand where Rachele acquired the Italian cabinet line, Berloni, for the New Zealand and Australian markets. She opened the Berloni New Zealand showroom and operated as owner and designer for the South Pacific market for the past 12 years where she was a 4-time winner in the Trends International Design Awards. After 24 years, Rachele and family have now moved back to North Carolina where she is the dealer for Das Holz Haus fine cabinetry and furnishings hand-crafted by the Amish in the plains of Illinois.

Rachele has an impressive understanding of spatial concepts and provides unparalleled design and engineering in room lay-out, cabinetry and furniture design. She incorporates Universal Design principles throughout her work, acknowledging different mobility needs for clients as they mature in their home. Rachele works with high-end homeowners, architects, interior designers, luxury homebuilders and property developers in either new construction or remodeling projects to create timeless, sustainable environments that are beautiful, functional and comfortable. While specializing in the area of Kitchen & Bath, Rachele works with all rooms that require cabinetry, furnishings or built-in fixtures. Her services are unique to each individual and cater to classic, modern or transitional styling. Through her bespoke service, Rachele can provide space planning and design only or a full-service approach with design and engineering inclusive of specification and product. Rachele provides shop and installation drawings with precise knowledge and use of AutoCAD®. Plans can be sent to architects in .dwg format and to the builders, sub-trades and end-users via .pdf format for implementation.
